Lookbook: Happiness is Black and White

IMG_4406

Hi ladies!

I’m so excited to share this post with you. It’s the first time I’m doing a lookbook post by actually wearing the outfits instead of posting pictures of each clothing item.  I hope you like it and this method helps you visualize the outfit.  And because I don’t believe in the traditional fashion rule of no white after labor day, here are some photos of me breaking the rules and (gasp!) wearing white after labor day.

Even though I love wearing black and white, it can be challenging to be creative with such a classic look. Because you’re limited to one or two traditional hues, I suggest gravitating towards different prints, shapes, and structures to add something different to an otherwise monochromatic outfit.  This vegan leather peplum top adds both texture and structure to the look.  I combined it with a similarly textured belt with gold hardware to make the top stand out even more against these white pants. Lastly, the mock crocodile design of the shoes and clutch adds an interesting element to the look.

These days,  even chic fashion labels like J.Crew and Madewell incorporate white in their fall collections. As long as your outfit is weather and season appropriate, you’re good to go!  Are you ready to break the rules? 🙂

What do you think of this look?  Would you wear it?

Thank you so much for reading!

Tanya

Personally I am not brave to break the rules however I can certainly see the elegance, grace and sexy look of black n white outfit! I love and admire the new direction you took by modeling yourself. It is so personal, real and unique that I cannot wait for more to come!
