Happy New Year everyone! I wanted to share with you the outfit I wore for my birthday dinner with J. I love playing with tulle! I’m into combining different textures, especially a soft fabric like tulle with a louder sequin top. A tulle skirt is such a statement piece and so incredibly whimsical and romantic. You can tell I was going for a girly theme with the addition of a sequin crop top. I want to recreate something a ballerina would wear: flowly skirt, feminine top, and hair pulled back in a classic bun. I made my eyes more dramatic and kept my lips neutral.
I like to wear crop tops with more conservative items, like this midi skirt to balance out the look. There’s nothing that bothers me more than an outfit that is too tight or too revealing all over. I think when you show some skin on your top half then you should err on the side of caution and cover more on the bottom half. Everything is relative though and what matters is that you feel comfortable in what you’re wearing and most importantly, in your own skin.
On another note, what are your resolutions or goals for 2015? I’d love to hear them! Thanks for reading and have a wonderful weekend!

This outfit is absolutely gorgeous! Love the crop top and ballerina skirt. I would wear my hair in a high ballerina bun with it.
Love,

Thanks lady! A ballerina bun would have worked well!
