Elfreth’s Alley is one of the most beautiful historical sites in Philly. It’s the oldest residential street in the United States and I was surprised to find out that people still live there. If you’re interested in checking it out, June 3rd is Fete Day, when residents open their private homes to the public. Otherwise, the museum is open year round. Old City is a wonderful mix of the old and new in Philadelphia. Therefore, almost every area is a gorgeous backdrop for photos, perfect when you want to photograph a new outfit!
I was immediately drawn to this cold shoulder sweater (yes, that’s what it is called!) because it’s blush, has a relaxed fit and the shoulder cut outs allow some skin exposure without being scandalous.
Overall, my style is classic with an element of edge. I love timeless pieces that have unique details and mixing high and low end pieces together.
How would you describe your style? It took me awhile to figure out how to describe how I dress because it’s constantly evolving over the years and completely dependent on my mood and where i’m going. This outfit is a great example of mixing high fashion (the bag) with fast fashion (a trendy sweater). I love to mix timeless classics with edgier pieces, for example this blush sweater with ripped dark jeans. Ultimately, I think it looks put together but the torn denim and baggy sweater keeps it from looking too perfect and a bit more unexpected.
This look is on the dressier side but if I wanted to keep it casual, I would swap out the heels for sneakers or flats. Check out some other cold shoulder sweaters here and the non-ripped version of these jeans here. Thanks so much for reading! xo, Tanya
