I started this blog because I wanted to write about things I like. About a year and a half ago, my husband and I got married, started new jobs and moved to the city. To say that my life has been full of changes and new beginnings would be a huge understatement!
In addition to planning a wedding, I also completed a one-year fellowship, adjusted to city life, began learned how to cook (this is a work in progress), and started training for a 5K. As you can see, I love challenging myself and pushing myself to exceed any preconceived notions I had on what I could or couldn’t do. As a pharmacist, one of the most important things we learn in pharmacy school is to be a lifelong learner. That little mantra doesn’t just apply to your didactic education. It touches every facet of your life and motivates you to try new things and be a better version of yourself.
About 7 months ago, I began working for a global pharmaceutical company in a position that I spent years working towards. My education in pharmacy school along with postgraduate work lead me to this point in my life in which I absolutely LOVE what I do for a living. That is a precious feeling that I didn’t always have. With all these new changes in my life comes a lot of excitement and a chance for me to write all about it. My posts will focus on my career, my marriage, being a new wife, and my infatuation with fashion. For all you overachieving, stylish, influential ladies who are working towards achieving your dreams, this blog is an insider’s view on all of these things.
Whether you’re working for a Fortune 500 company or starting your own company, balancing work and life comes with many challenges and fabulous rewards. For me, demanding more of myself and juggling all the things I love gives me a feeling of satisfaction that accepting the status quo just doesn’t. My goal is to provide smart career advice for your long-term professional development and offer candid tales from my own experiences of being a just married corporette/pharmacist/loving wife/fashionista/writer/traveler/food lover/city dweller and much much more.
So grab a latte, continue reading, and thank you for taking an interest in what I have to say!
