The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is happening NOW. This sale is so heavily covered because it includes NEW arrivals for Fall at a discounted price. When the sale ends, the items go back to their full price. Traditionally, items go on sale when they’re the last remaining pieces of a season and inventory needs to be cleared out. This is different. This is NEW fall/winter items that are just now hitting stores and are heavily marked down.

My strategy is to keep more expensive closet staples on my wish list throughout the year so I can easily keep track of them until they go on sale. This includes pricey denim that fits well in all the right places, coats and other pieces that you’ll need once Fall comes around. For example, the Stuart Weitzman ‘Highland‘ over the knee boots, aka the best OTK boots, are on sale in every color. The Topo Suede color is my personal favorite.
