My Outfit Details: Coat: BCBG Fayette Ruffled Military Coat (last season but white version currently available on eBay | Sweater:H&M | Wrap skirt: ASOS, sold out (similar here) | Boots: Russian Boutique in Brooklyn, similar here
This will hopefully be my last winter outfit in Philly this season! I was instantly drawn to this skirt because checks are one of my favorite prints. The wrap design adds a contemporary spin to an otherwise conservative skirt. The material is soft and allows the skirt to be dressed up or down depending on what else you’re wearing. In this case, I combined it with knee-high boots and a black turtleneck for a work-appropriate winter look. It would also go great with a pair of classic pumps and a beige or black blouse for a fall or spring look.
If I wanted to dress it down, I could wear my flat over the knee boots for a more casual outfit. The possibilities are endless. 🙂 As my style continues to evolve, I try to limit my purchases to versatile items that can be worn several different ways. It saves closet space and these kind of pieces tend to last longer and be on more frequent rotation. What are some items you consider classic pieces in your closet? Thanks for reading! xo, Tanya
