The Sunday Edit from Daios, Crete, Greece

It’s our last day in Crete and I’m fully enjoying the downtime before it’s time to head back to Philadelphia. This past week has been a dream. If you’re looking for your next vacation destination, I highly recommend Crete. This photo was taken at Daios Cove in Agios Nikolaos, our last destination and the most relaxing, by far. In full transparency, I’m ready to get back to my babies. By the time we get home, it will be midnight but I’m fully planning on waking up the kids to give them lots of hugs and kisses. I miss them so much. Does anyone else wake up their kids in the middle of the night when they know full well it’s a terrible idea? 🙂 Happy Sunday. Enjoy this week’s links from around the web.

Five scenes from ‘The OC’ that this author will never forget. Were you a fan of the show? I was really into it and credit the show with introducing me to many of the indie bands I came to know and love today. Check out the New Years Eve scene where Ryan runs to Marissa just in time and they kiss at midnight. The song playing in the background, “Dice” by Finley Quaye truly makes the moment. I’m 90% sure that is how I discovered one of my favorite bands, Death Cab for Cutie, as it was Seth Cohen’s favorite band.

The swimsuit I’m wearing in the photo above, saved for the last day when I had some semblance of a tan. The top is on sale for $14.99 and the bottoms are on sale for $8.99, both available in black and white.

You’re not lazy, bored or unmotivated. You are afraid. “In order to deal with all these fears, you could buy a new book from a new guru each week, collect a stunning array of probably-placebo supplements on your shelf, churn through organizational systems and mantras and resolutions. Or, you could wake up and realize that all these fears are the same thing. Fear is the same dark creature that’s always plagued us, and it will continue to invent new tricks till kingdom come. You have to find a way to live in spite of it.”
