The Everyday Dress

The best kind of everyday dress is one that you can rely on – for dinners with a new couple who may or may not turn into good friends or for mornings spent taking your son to karate class followed by a walk to get some coffee at La Colombe. I was looking for a black dress with a straight neckline when I noticed this one from Reformation. Once I saw the thin criss-cross accent in the back, I clicked add to cart. It’s my favorite type of everyday dress – casual and chic with a great fit and interesting accents. I bought it right before we went to Italy and have been reaching for it pretty often.

For the fall, i’ll be wearing it with a leather jacket or blazer for layering. Reformation is having a sale right now, which rarely happens. This is the Jaime dress for reference. Below are some of my favorite casual dresses because the one above is almost sold out.
