March Reading List (Children in Quarantine Edition)

Since many of us are at home trying to be caregivers, employees, teachers and all the things, I think we can all appreciate a few new books (or some really great old ones) to introduce to our kids. Here is the children in quarantine reading list you never thought you needed.

January Reading List

I had a long list of books planned for the January reading list  but was able to get through four of them. I pushed some of them to February so those are coming soon but in the meantime, here are reviews for the books I finished. This month was a great mix of fun, emotional, and business-centered books. I started with Nora Ephron’s, I Remember Nothing, which I’ve wanted to read for a long time and knew would be wonderful. I love a collection of essays and this book did not disappoint. Braving the Wilderness is so timely and touches about so many things I think about as a parent and human being regarding belonging, bullying, vulnerability and so much more.

December Reading List

I’m really excited to share the December reading list because every book was fantastic. For Know My Name and Catch and Kill, I was up all night eagerly turning the pages and wanting more. Not Just a Pretty Face was the education I was desperately craving to understand the cosmetics industry and how to shop for personal care products in an educated way. Modern Love is a collection of essays, my favorite type of book, that was relatable, thought-provoking, and always emotional. Despite it being a light reading month (I blame Netflix), I enjoyed each book included below and would recommend any of them.

February 2019 Reading List: Molly’s Game and Room

I was expecting to read more books in February since I have about 25 books on my to-read list but it occurred to me that I only finished two books last month. Both of these were excellent though so I thought I’d include them in the February reading list. Have you read either one?

January 2019 Reading List

I’ve been writing book reviews here and there but I thought in 2019, I would start monthly reading lists. I thought it would be fun to do a monthly roundup of books I’ve read and get suggestions from you on what to read next. Here is the January 2019 reading list:

Book Corner: My Fall Reading List

One of the things I miss about being in school are the reading lists. Although I loved being on summer break, there was something special about receiving a list of unread books that I could peruse through. Now that it’s fall, one of my favorite activities is getting cozy with an oversized sweater, hot tea, […]
