The Sunday Edit is back! You may have noticed a brief hiatus on the blog and that is because changes are coming! I’ve been working behind the scenes on something exciting that I’m really looking forward to sharing with all of you soon. In the meantime, some blog posts coming this week-what I’m packing for our family trip to Bermuda, how I feel about the Instagram update involving hidden likes and where I shop in my thirties.

Last but not least, HAPPY PRIDE MONTH! I love these words from Lady Gaga-“Don’t you ever let a soul in the world tell you that you can’t be exactly who you are.” Enjoy this week’s Sunday Edit links!

The Sunday Edit

Do you remember how weird the first episode of Sex and the City was?

Times I think people are upset with me.

I have recently rediscovered Nora Ephron’s work and there is one piece of prose that I keep coming back to-her incredible graduation speech from 1996.

We’re planning a trip back to Greece this summer so I’ve been going through old photos and getting excited. We’re leaning towards Crete so if you have any recommendations, please send them my way.

Twelve June beach reads to add to your summer reading list from InStyle.com.

I started reading Amanda Montell’s Wordslut and was instantly hooked. Here is a brief preview from Amazon: “the word bitch conjures many images for many people, but it is most often meant to describe an unpleasant woman. Even before its usage to mean a female canine, bitch didn’t refer to gender at all—it originated as a gender-neutral word meaning genitalia. A perfectly innocuous word devolving into a female insult is the case for tons more terms, including hussy—which simply meant housewife—or slut, which meant an untidy person and was also used to describe men. These words are just a few among history’s many English slurs hurled at women.”

I’m really into this seamless bungee bodysuit from Urban Outfitters.

These strappy cognac-colored sandals from Madewell are lovely for the summer.

I’m refreshing our outdoor area and leaning heavily on the Hearth and Hand collection at Target. These striped pillows add some nice texture and contrast to the area and they’re reasonably priced. I also found this lavender eucalyptus candle on clearance.

I posted this skirt on my Instagram stories and love how it looks with the matching top.

What is the fashion industry doing about conservation?

These reversible sequin t-shirts from H&M are a hit with my kids.

I’m slightly embarrassed to admit that I wore a dress nearly identical to this one almost every morning this week for preschool drop-off but it’s basically my summer uniform.

This linen dress from H&M would look amazing with strappy brown sandals.

I get all of Dylan’s band t-shirts here and I’m loving this Nirvana shirt.

This wide brim beige hat is perfect for the summer and instantly upgrades a simple jeans and a t-shirt look.
