Yesterday was a wonderful day. J and I attended a good friend’s wedding in central Jersey, which was absolutely gorgeous! With some outfit inspiration from Atlantic-Pacific (fantastic blog!), I gathered the confidence I needed to wear a crop top and high-waisted skirt to the wedding. 🙂
If I could afford it, I would own every article of clothing ever made by Marissa Webb. She recently became the new Creative Director & Head of Design at Banana Republic, which means great things are coming from Banana Republic. She has a wonderful eye for detail and chooses the most beautiful fabric for her pieces, as seen with this Josephine Luxe Satin High-Waisted Skirt. Her collections have the perfect mix of femininity and masculinity with edgy leather pieces, gorgeous prints, and modern silhouettes. To me, this skirt epitomizes the label perfectly; there’s a certain hardness in the structure of the clothing while maintaining an overall soft look with the satin fabric and pink color choice.
When I think about Marissa Webb clothes, I think about women who love expressing themselves through style as they exude a sense of strength and confidence, while balancing the everyday demands of life.
