DSG holiday shopping with DICK's last minute holiday shopping with DICK'S sporting goods

No holiday experience is complete without last minute holiday shopping. It’s the most wonderful time of the year but also somehow seems to be the busiest once Thanksgiving hits. With work deadlines, evening festivities and family gatherings, the weeks seem to pass by unnoticeably. Suddenly, it’s a few days before Hanukkah (or Christmas), and you have limited time left to buy all of your remaining gifts.

I had the opportunity to spend an afternoon at DICK’S Sporting Goods at the King of Prussia Mall and experience all the holiday happenings for myself, including finding last minute sports-related gifts for the family. Admittedly, i’m not a sports fanatic but my husband most definitely is and he happens to live in athleisure. Although, don’t tell him I called it that. To him, it will always be “sweatpants and a hoodie.”  DICK’S is currently showcasing the “magic of sports,” by highlighting all the gear and clothing the store has to offer, especially gifts that allow families to experience the positive effect of sports, for an affordable price.

Side note, I’m wearing an outfit from DICK’S new apparel line, DSG, in these photos. I love the lattice detail on the leggings and the asymmetrical zipped quilted jacket. For every DSG item purchased, 1% of all sales go directly back to Sports Matter, a company-wide initiative to help give 1 million kids the chance to play sports by 2024. I have personally seen the effect that sports have had on my kids since introducing them to soccer, swim, and ballet this year. It is truly magical. Speaking of magical, have you seen DICK’s holiday commercial, “The New Kid?” It’s really cute and there’s a fun behind the scenes video at the end.

You can view the DICK’S holiday gift guide here. I snagged two of these sherpa blankets (it’s buy one, get one free) and have been using them for the kids when they’re in the car and can’t wear puffy coats in their car seats. They’re so soft that I’m tempted to buy another set for myself. Another helpful car seat purchase-I bought these Patagonia toddler fleece jackets to wear in the car when it’s cold out. I also purchased these aloe-infused socks, which I plan on wearing with my pajamas all day and night during the kids’ winter break.

I bought a few other things for Julian and the kids and let’s face it, a few things for myself too. At least I’m honest. For example, CALIA by Carrie Underwood has some great tops for working out. I sized up to accommodate my growing belly since I’m trying to avoid buying any more maternity clothes until really necessary. Below, I included my favorite gifts for the family (and yourself!).

Buy online and pick up at a nearby store in one hour

If you’re worried you won’t get items in time, DICK’S offers customers the option to purchase online and pick-up orders at a nearby DICK’s location in just one hour. Every time i’m in a store with my children, I am reminded of why I shop online. Everything takes ten times longer and somehow the kids always end up running in opposite directions. I prefer to shop at home while drinking tea and knowing that the the kids are sleeping peacefully. No crowds. No chaos. It is heavenly.

Best price guarantee

If you find a lower advertised price, DICK’S will match that price. You just need to present a competitor’s sales ad to a DICK’s associate and if qualified, you will get the lower price right there at the register.

Are you in the midst of last minute holiday shopping? It’s nice to know there is an option for affordable gifts that you know will be well-received.  I’d love to know what you end up getting this weekend!

Thank you to DICK’S Sporting Goods for sponsoring this post! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
